Musica Ficta

Musica Ficta is a Spanish group of ancient music created in 1992 by its conductor Raúl Mallavibarrena. It is dedicated to the interpretation of polyphony of the Renaissance and the Baroque, with special attention to the Spanish music of the XVI century. It is considered one of the most outstanding renovators of the ancient music of our country, having made tours and concerts for more than twenty countries around the world.

Celebrating its 25th anniversary, the group Musica Ficta looks back to one of his talisman works, the Requiem 1605 by Tomás Luis de Victoria. With this second recording, Mallavibarrena delves into different aspects of the work, underlining the more poetic side of this master page of Spanish musical literature.
